  • When is the best time to book your band?
To ensure availability, especially for popular dates, we recommend booking as early as possible. Ideally, booking 12-18 months in advance is optimal.
  • Can we use your PA system for speeches?
Our standard arrival time is typically around 6 pm, often after speeches have finished. However, if you need to use our PA system, we can arrange this for a small additional fee. Please inform us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
  • How much do you charge, and is a deposit required?
Our rates generally range from £1099 to £1599, depending on various factors such as the day of the week, location and whether your wedding falls on a peak date. A non-refundable management fee is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due 28 days before the event.
  • What if a band member is unavailable?
In the rare event of illness or unforeseen circumstances, we have experienced musicians on standby who are familiar with the band's setlist. They can step in to ensure the performance proceeds without any disruption.
  • Does a venue's sound limiter create any issues?
Route One will adhere to the venue's sound regulations to guarantee a positive experience for both staff and guests. Our typical sound level is around 97 decibels, which is standard for a live band. We will discuss and address any potential sound limitations, including the use of a limiter, with the venue before the event. This guide will assist you in understanding the intricacies of sound limiters at wedding venues: Understanding Wedding Sound Limiters
  • Which counties in the UK do you serve?
Our service area is limited to the South West of England, specifically Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset.
  • Are you completely self-contained?
Yes, we provide all necessary sound equipment, instruments, and lighting. We only require a minimum of two 13-amp plug sockets (UK standard) as close to the performance area as possible. These sockets should be dedicated and not shared with other suppliers.
  • Can we choose the live setlist?
With our broad knowledge of performing at weddings and events, we understand what works best. Therefore, we do not give clients the option to choose the band's live setlist.
  • Do you have insurance, and is your equipment PAT-tested?
Yes, we hold Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and ensure that all of our equipment undergoes Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for safety and compliance. Venues generally require suppliers to present this certification.
  • What should we provide on the day of the event?
We would appreciate it if you could provide food and soft drinks for the band members during the event. However, this isn't contractual. The band will require 4-5 parking spaces as close to the venue as possible.
  • Do you provide additional services?
We don't just offer a free live first dance and a complimentary DJ service, we can also perform an afternoon acoustic set. The acoustic set has a relaxed and intimate vibe, ideal for creating a pleasant atmosphere during your drinks reception.
  • How much space do you need?
Our setup typically requires a performance area of around 5m x 3m (16ft x 10ft). We also need a flat, hard surface to perform on, ensuring the safety and stability of our equipment.
