Frequently asked questions
How far can you travel?
Route One is available for hire across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset, while enquiries are welcome for other destinations in the UK. Travel costs for events taking place further afield are calculated from a central postcode in the South West of England.
Can we choose the setlist?
Unfortunately not. As Route One are experienced in the wedding scene, they know what works well - and what doesn’t - so it is requested that you leave the song choices to them.
How much space/electricity do you require?
Ideally, the band requires a performance area of about 4m x 5m (13ft x 16ft), as flat as possible. They can fit into a smaller space if necessary, while they also require a minimum of two standard 13amp sockets. These must be independent (not shared with other acts or catering providers).
How long do you take to set up?
The band will need around one hour to get set up, sound checked and ready to go - providing there is easy access to the venue. They will also need 45 minutes to an hour after performing to pack up their equipment.
Do you provide a contract?
Absolutely. Route One will send you a contract confirming your booking and requirements for the day, while the document will also include Ts&Cs. The contract serves as a legally binding agreement between both parties.
How much do you charge?
This would depend on a number of factors, including the day of the week, the location, the time of year, and the event in question. Get in touch via the 'Contact' tab and Route One will send you over a personalised quote as soon as they can. Pricing starts from £1099.
What if our venue has a sound limiter?
Route One will always adhere to a venue's sound regulations and will perform at a level that pleases both the venue staff and audience. The band averages around 97db, which is the level you would expect from a live band, while any sound issues (i.e. limiter) would be clarified with the venue beforehand.
How do I enquire about booking?
Please get in touch via the Contact page and Route One will be back in touch with a personalised quote as soon as they can.
What else do you need on the night?
Food and soft drinks during the course evening would be appreciated, although not contractual. The band will require 3-4 car parking spaces as close to the venue as possible.
